Valentino will open its first stores in India this summer with boutiques in Delhi and Mumbai
Italian luxury fashion house Valentino will make its India debut, with the first store opening this summer.
The haute couture house will launch a boutique in the Indian capital New Delhi in the coming weeks.
A second flagship store will open in Mumbai before the end of the year.
Both stores will offer womenswear, menswear, accessories and footwear from one of Europe’s best-known fashion brands.
The news came after Maison Valentino signed a distribution deal with Reliance Brands Limited, part of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries retail division.
“Valentino needs no introduction in India,” said Darshan Mehta, managing director of Reliance Brands Limited.
“Founded by legendary Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti, Valentino has experienced an impactful creative evolution under current Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli and Managing Director Jacopo Venturini, heralding the brand in contemporary luxury while pulling built on its heritage as a fashion house.”
In Delhi, Maison Valentino will open at DLF Empori, India’s premier luxury shopping destination. The 162 square meter unit will carry the brand’s women’s collection, alongside a selection of men’s accessories.
The Mumbai flagship store will carry the entire Valentino range of Valentino Garavani womenswear, menswear and accessories, including shoes, bags, small leather goods, scarves, ties, eyewear and fragrances.
Both stores will provide customers with a tailored customer experience and champion the brand’s signature use of bright colors and romance.

Valentino currently has 213 fashion boutiques worldwide, including its largest store in Rome, located not far from where Valentino Garavani established the house in 1959.
Earlier this month, the brand launched the Valentino Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022/23 collection in Rome’s 18th-century Spanish Steps. Valentino’s now-iconic shade of hot pink was worn by both the models and many of the celebrities in attendance, including Anne Hathaway and Florence Pugh.
