Saks Off 5th partner of Phluid Phoundation for the pride month capsule
Be strong and proud! Saks OFF 5TH has partnered with The Poundation of Phluid in honor of Pride Month – and it’s safe to say that June is going to be one of the most stylish months of the year!
The beloved department store chain kicked off on June 1, launching a gender-neutral capsule collection with a cause. For each item purchased, the brand will donate 100% of net proceeds (up to $100,000) to the nonprofit.
For those new to The Phluid Phoundation, it supports vulnerable and marginalized members of the LGBTQ+ community, including BIPOC transgender youth and homeless LGBTQ+ youth.
As for the capsule collection, called The Phluid projectit includes everything from accessories, like hats and summery scarves, to clothes, including kaftans and shorts – all in eye-catching patterns and vibrant colors, of course.
Notable pieces include the Tropical baseball cap ($40) and the Floral tie front shirt ($60), both of which are great for holidays, warm-weather outings, and even on a float in a Pride parade.
But wait, that’s not all! Along with the dynamic range of limited-edition products, the brand also unveiled a video campaign showcasing the LGBTQ+ community through dance – and it’s epic.
The jaw-dropping images feature dancers with varying skills. You’ll probably recognize at least a few of the dancers in the video. It stars Honey Balenciaga, West Dakota, Luis “Dosu” Carrera, Michelle Dorrance, Mila Jam, Cortney Taylor Key, Adriana Pierce and Harper Watters.
These two initiatives mark the second partnership between Saks OFF 5TH and The Phluid Phoundation. Last year the brand launched a capsule collection and some of these pieces are still available for purchase. To see the Be nice Bob ($15, originally $25) and the Being Kind Is Very Cool Laptop Sleeve ($20, originally $30).
