Rustan’s to transform Makati flagship store

Buyers can expect to see elegant and refined interiors that celebrate a legacy of extraordinary taste, style and reinvention in the newly designed space.

For years, Rustan’s Makati has been one of the country’s premier luxury retail destinations. As a mecca for international fashion and beauty brands and with its spectacular annual holiday window displays, it offers a shopping experience that goes beyond mere retail. And while the country has seen a boom in e-commerce during the pandemic, nothing beats the experience of seeing beautifully curated pieces in a physical store. As we face our new world, the retail establishment is set to refine luxury shopping by revealing its plans to transform its Makati flagship store.

Leading this new era of elevated shopping experience are the third generation members of the Tantoco family, Donnie Tantoco as President, and Anton Huang as Executive Vice President of Merchandising, both of whom are essential to the perpetual evolution of the store.

Marking its 70th anniversary, the groundbreaking project begins with the opening of the newly renovated beauty and fragrance departments over the festive period. Working with award-winning international specialists, this revamped space allows Rustan to build on its reputation of bringing only the best international brands to the Filipino people, creating a space not only for established favorite key players, but also for showcasing the latest beauty trailblazers and upcoming game changers.

Buyers can expect to see elegant and refined interiors that celebrate a legacy of extraordinary taste, style and reinvention in the newly designed space. Built on the passion and drive established by its founders, this concept ultimately creates a truly new experience that speaks to the store’s heritage for excellence in luxury and serving only the very best.

“Our story may have begun 70 years ago, but to this day we continue to be a part of our customers’ lives,” said Zenaida R. Tantoco, President and CEO of Rustan’s. “Our goal is to make the ordinary extraordinary, and we do this by constantly looking for ways to improve and stay relevant to all of our customers and their individual needs. This includes ensuring their in-store experience is a who counts and who makes the difference.”
