New Levi’s clothing store opens in Fosse Park

American classic clothing brand Levi’s has just opened a new boutique at Fosse Park shopping center.

Levi’s, known for their iconic denim clothes, especially jeans, opened their new boutique today, Wednesday, December 15, in the former Office store in Fosse Park North, next to Primark.

The Fosse Park branch is Levi’s second Leicestershire store – it already has a branch in the Highcross shopping center in Leicester city center.

The stores carry a wide range of clothing, including jackets, sweaters, shirts and t-shirts as well as a range of other accessories.

According to the brand, Levi’s epitomizes “classic American style and effortless cool.”

Levi’s jeans date back to 1873, when Levi Strauss, who had opened a dry goods business in San Francisco during the height of the California Gold Rush, realized that workers needed clothes designed to take it all.

He teamed up with tailor Jacob Davis and combined copper rivet reinforcements with tough denim to create the first “fabricated waist overalls” – which we now call jeans.
