Famous French masters of perfumery will open a special pop-up in Dallas – NorthCenter gets some serious scent magic

Jhe tradition of Haute Parfumerie Guerlain dates back to 1828 when it was created in Paris by the perfumer Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain. The brand has developed over five successive generations of Guerlain perfumers. Now owned by French luxury giant LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, it launched its intoxicating L’Art & La Matière collections in 2005. Today, on the anniversary of the relaunch of the fragrance collections , Neiman Marcus is hosting a special Guerlain pop-up event at its Dallas store in the NorthPark Center shopping district.

Get ready for the magic of perfume.

“Guerlain presents its unique Haute Parfumerie offer with the L’Art & La Matière collection at the NorthPark Center, with an exclusive pop-up event at the Neiman Marcus from October 11 to November 7,” says Norbelis Richards of Conti Communications PaperCity.

The duo of Guerlain perfumers composed of Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk are the noses behind Art & Matter, which offers an exclusive collection of 20 unisex and customizable eau de parfums. This collection becomes one of a kind with the ability to customize the cap, plate, cord and seal ― with a refillable bottle in select Guerlain boutiques around the world.

Cherry Oud is one of three new oud-inspired fragrances for Guerlain. You can get it in the limited edition plate by artist Ghizlane Agzenai.

Why not? Guerlain is known for its bottle art, attention to refined design, which includes the scrolling ionic capital design of L’Heure Bleue and the iconic fan-shaped urns of Shalimar, which were originally featured in a Baccarat crystal. The bottle is never an afterthought for Guerlain.

It is made to be an heirloom piece. It’s all part of the experience and artistry of these perfume masters.

This in-store experience allows you to decorate the bottle of your choice in different ways. You can choose all finishes.

The Northpark pop-up offers a chance to create your own L'Art & Flacon La Matière. Choose all the finishing touches to make it unique.

For the plaque on the cap, choose hammered gold metal, smooth leather, or full-grain faux leather in a variety of colors. Or opt for real wood, white or black marble or colored stone. There are four decorative plates with limited edition finishes, created by artisans with long-standing ties to Guerlain.

“The collection includes a plate in straw marquetry created by Lison de Caunes, a plate embroidered with the Guerlain bee by Atelier Bizet and a sparkling version in natural mother-of-pearl,” notes a press release.

Or choose the rare jewelry plate made by Truscelli Workshop — a historic Guerlain motif set with 40 rhodolite garnets or 40 synthetic diamonds.

The bottles can even be engraved with initials, a name or a short message.

Guerlain combines French refinement and the ritual of perfume. The L’Art & La Matière collection is generally sold exclusively at Guerlain.com, Guerlain boutiques and selected counters around the world. But for a limited time starting this Tuesday, October 11, you can experience the art of customization for yourself at the Neiman Marcus NorthPark Center.
