E-commerce Training Course Held for Hung Yen Farmers | Company

Hung Yen (VNA) – The Farmers’ Association of Hung Yen City in the province of the same name, in coordination with the city’s post office, organized training sessions on e-commerce and the sale of agricultural products on postmart.vn for 60 executives and association members of the locality.

Attendees were guided on how to download and register on the platform, and how to use the Postmart mobile app to create accounts, process orders and manage complaints, while promoting the benefits of sale of agricultural products via e-commerce.

In the first six months of this year, Vietnam Post Corporation (VNpost) and provincial and city farmers’ associations held 1,564 training courses on e-commerce and digital transformation.

They have also focused on promoting outreach and organizing programs that facilitate the sale of agricultural products nationwide through Postmart and their outlets. Thus, more than 1,000 tons of agricultural products were marketed via 420 connection programs between the two units.

Nguyen Kien Cuong, deputy general manager of VNPost, said that to achieve the goal of connecting 2.9 million farming households to the Postmart e-commerce platform by the end of this year, the two units will develop efficient models while realizing safe agricultural production supply chains and helping Farmers in the process of digital transformation.

Nguyen Xuan Dinh, vice president of the Vietnam Farmers Association, said she asked members to be more active in working with local post offices to update information and conduct trainings to strengthen the capacity of agricultural households on e-commerce platforms.

The northern province of Hung Yen is home to about 4,800 hectares of longans, of which more than 1,300 hectares meet VietGAP standards, mainly in Hung Yen town, Khoai Chau, Kim Dong, Tien Lu, Phu Cu and An Thi districts. . Total longan the production is more than 40,000 tons per year. Last year, Hung Yen longan debuted on a number of e-commerce platforms, such as sendo.vn and postmart.vn.

The longan is a nutrient-dense tropical fruit. There are many varieties of longans all over the country, but Hung Yen’s “long” longan, known as the king of fruits, is most famous for its thick pulp and sweet taste.

Last year, Vietnam exported more than 117,500 tons of longan, including more than 11,000 tons of fresh products. Vietnam fresh longan is currently sold in 17 countries and territories around the world./.
