Dolores F. Naples 1936-2021 | News, Sports, Jobs

NILES – Dolores F. Naples, 85, from Niles, died on Monday July 5, 2021 at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

She was born on June 8, 1936 in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of Victor and Francis Golembowski Sibera.

Dolores graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1954 and began her career as a clothing buyer for a women’s fashion store. She was employed as a secretary for Trumbull County District Attorney Dennis Watkins for 13 years. She ran family rental properties and the tenants simply adored her.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Niles. She enjoyed playing volleyball, badminton and also softball with her daughters, and they won many tournaments. In her sixties, she won the diving championship. She was the most competitive. She was good at everything. She was the # 1 fan of her grandchildren and was present at every sporting event and competition. All the referees knew her because she kept them online. She loved to dance and was crowned Queen of Jitterbug with her brother. She played sports until her death.

Dolores was extremely intelligent and witty. It was to her that the family turned for everything and she gave the best advice.

She loved watching cowboy movies, Law & Order, news and horror movies with her grandson. She loved to play cards with the family and would always win.

She was deeply admired by all who knew her. Everyone called her “mom” or “grandmother”. The amount of love she was giving and the amount of love everyone had for her was second to none. She was the purest person you have ever met. She gave the most unconditional love to her family and gave every ounce of herself. More than anything, she loved doing things for her grandchildren.

She was the funniest person and the source of so many belly laughs. She loved family vacations and was always the life of the party.

She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Denise Lynn Naples of Niles and Lisa Marie Naples, with whom she has made her home, and her two grandchildren, Marie Naples of Dakota Lis and Kross Anthony Naples. She is also survived by Gina Walker and her family, Victor Sibera Jr. and Amanda, Desiree Sibera, and her brother’s wife, Theresa Siberia and her children.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Victor Sibera and Ronnie Sibera.

She was taken away too early; it was not his time.
