Confidence and Confidence to Adopt Online Trading – FBC News

The Fiji Retailers Association recommended that all e-commerce providers be registered under one roof and governed by regulated guidelines.

E-commerce is slowly transforming the way businesses operate, and the Association believes there is a lack of confidence in the shift to the new way of doing business.

Board member Vinod Kumar says building consumer confidence in e-commerce is key to adopting e-commerce.

“We are confident that if this digital e-commerce platform is structured correctly now with a solid foundation to gain the trust of suppliers and consumers, it will be the new business platform in the time to come and a good source of revenue for government and business. “

Kumar adds that a lot of work needs to be done to build confidence in this digital market

“For e-commerce business in Fiji to be successful, trust must first be developed between sellers and consumers in order to take the business to the next level.

Kumar says companies should keep the promises advertised on their sites, respect the time and money spent on products, and answer pre and post-sales questions.
