Buy over 200 vendors at Saturday’s Craftin ‘Cajuns Show in Houma
More than 200 arts and crafts vendors will offer their wares at Saturday’s Craftin ‘Cajuns Craft Fair and Market in Houma.
The show, for which admission is free, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Houma-Terrebonne / Barry Bonvillain Civic Center, 346, boulevard du Center civique.
Angel Allemand, owner of Tiny Threads, said she was excited for her first show. German sells bespoke children’s clothing and also offers free delivery to customers who order online on Saturdays.
âIt’s exciting because I see it’s going to be a good crowd to get my name out there,â said German.
The market, the sixth to be held at the Civic Center, will feature 218 vendor stalls selling handmade and specialty goods, such as home decorations, candles and clothing.
Dana Parfait-Lodigrue of Sonny Days Fishing said the company will offer its specialty fishing lures, including those hand painted by Joe Lodrigue and Storm Fitch of Houma.
âWe are delighted to be part of over 200 other talented suppliers and to be able to showcase our work to Houma and surrounding areas,â said Parfait-Lodigrue.
For Katie Chauvin-Jones, owner of The Pie Safe, the market is a homecoming.
âI’m from the parish of Terrebonne, but I moved very young and we’re back, so we can see our friends and family and show them what we have,â said Chauvin-Jones.
The Pie Safe will offer pralines; old-fashioned hand-made lemon, apple and pecan pies; and seven types of homemade salsa under the âAll About Dat Salsaâ label.
The event is sponsored by the Curves of Houma-Thibodaux, Magical Moments Vacations by Shawn, Max Home, Smile Doctors Braces and Total Pharmacy Services.
