Boot Barn is leaving Valley West Mall and moving to a new location in West Des Moines

Boot Barn, a western clothing retailer, is moving its store from Valley West Mall to a mall just over a mile away.

The cowboy and work boot store, also offering Western-inspired clothing for men and women, closed its mall in May and moved into a vacant position at the Westowne Mall at the corner of 22nd Street and from Westown Drive in West Des Moines. The space once housed a gold gymnasium which closed in 2020.

“We’re passionate about the western lifestyle and involved in the community, and we’ve designed our store to reflect that,” Boot Barn’s Des Moines the site page says. “Whether you visit us for western pieces, workwear or western fashion, you’ll easily find curated sections in our store.”
