Accessorize announces the opening of a new store in Churchill Square, Brighton
A FASHION retailer has announced the opening of a new downtown store in time for Christmas.
Accessorize will open a store in the Churchill Square unit it previously shared with its partner company Monsoon.
The boutique will house women’s jewelry, hair accessories, bags, clothing and other seasonal essentials.
It is scheduled to open at Brighton Shopping Center on November 29.
Paul Thomas, Monsoon Accessorize Retail Director, said: âWe are really delighted to be able to welcome our customers back to our brand new store in Brighton.
âOur new store really showcases our amazing products, and we know our Brighton customers will love them. It feels good to be back. ”
Prior to the lockdown, Accessorize worked with London-based brand consultancy Made Thought to design its new store concepts.
Mark Buchanan-Smith, director of the Churchill Square center, said the store would have a “fresh and modern” feel.
He said: âWe are delighted to welcome Accessorize to Churchill Square just in time for Christmas.
“We are sure that the new concept store will be very well received by fashion lovers in Brighton.”
Last year, Monsoon Accessorize announced that 500 jobs would be lost after the company entered administration.
The former Accessorize store in Churchill Square closed in January 2020.
Signs in the windows directed shoppers to their next nearest store in Montague Street, Worthing.
Monsoon founder Peter Simon bought the company from administration almost immediately, but more than 500 employees were laid off and 35 stores were closed.
Accessorize is the latest brand to open a store in Churchill Square, after New Look, which opened in June, and the launch of the first Laser Clinic UK branch in Brighton in August.
A coronavirus vaccination center is currently occupying the site of the former Topshop store, which closed in February following the collapse of the Arcadia group.
